About this game
When the Dragon Withers is a board game about cooperation and communication.
Living in a complicated world means running into problems no one can solve on their own. Aligning your intent with someone else’s, drawing out each other’s strengths, colliding now and then on the way to a shared goal — that experience repeats itself at work, at school, at home, across a whole life.
This game borrows the shape of an RPG to offer an adventure where cooperation and strategy meet. Talking things through, reconciling judgements, finding the right division of labour — players pick up the feeling of moving as one simply by playing.

When the Dragon Withers is our attempt to translate that territory into an adventure you actually live through.
You have fun, and a sense of answering to each other grows. The pleasure of working in step gets into your body. That’s the experience we’re trying to build on a board.
